Rama Navami is one of the most sacred festivals in the Hindu calendar, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It usually falls in the month of Chaitra (March–April) and marks the culmination of the Chaitra Navratri celebrations. The day symbolizes the victory of righteousness, truth, and virtue.
According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Rama was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya after years of prayers and penance. His birth brought an end to evil forces and symbolized the triumph of dharma (righteousness) over adharma (unrighteousness).
Lord Rama’s life, as narrated in the Ramayana, serves as a timeless example of moral integrity, devotion, and duty. Rama Navami thus celebrates not only his divine birth but also the ideals he upheld throughout his life.
