Griha Pravesh

Griha Pravesh Puja is a sacred ritual performed before entering a new home for the first time. It purifies the space, invites positivity, and ensures the blessings of the deities for prosperity, peace, and protection in the new residence.

According to Hindu tradition, Griha Pravesh should be done on an auspicious muhurat as suggested by a priest. The ritual eliminates any negative energies present in the house and sanctifies it with divine vibrations.

Main Rituals of Griha Pravesh Puja:

  • Ganapati Puja – to remove obstacles and bless the home.
  • Kalash Sthapana – with sacred water, mango leaves, and coconut.

  • Navagraha Puja – to appease the nine planets.
  • Havan – fire ritual to purify the environment and seek divine blessings.
